Nursery and Reception Teaching Assistants – Cwmbran
Teaching Personnel are currently working with a supportive school in Cwmbran to assist with the new intake of pupils. We are looking for enthusiastic, patient, and proactive Nursery and Reception Teaching Assistants to help create a positive, nurturing environment for young learners. The role involves supporting children during their first steps in education, ensuring they feel safe, valued, and supported throughout their early years.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide tailored support to children in the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), focusing on those with social, emotional, and mental health needs.
* Assist in delivering a varied, inclusive curriculum that fosters the development of confidence, resilience, and essential social skills.
* Collaborate with the class teacher and SENCO to implement personalised learning plans for children with additional learning needs (ALN).
* Help create a nurturing, safe, and inclusive environment where all children feel supported and encouraged.
* Support children in developing numeracy and literacy skills through engaging daily activities.
* Promote positive behaviour, emotional regulation, and well-being through structured interventions.
* Build strong, trusting relationships with both pupils and parents, offering social and emotional support as needed.
About You: We are looking for someone who:
* Has a genuine passion for supporting children in their early years of education.
* Demonstrates patience, empathy, and a positive attitude, with the ability to form strong, trusting relationships with young children.
* Works effectively as part of a team and is proactive in meeting the diverse needs of pupils.
* Experience in early childhood education or working with children is highly valued but not essential.
Position: Nursery and Reception Teaching Assistant
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM (Part-time and full-time roles available)
Pay: From £83.85 per day
Start Date: March 2025
Requirements:
* Must be registered with the EWC (Education Workforce Council).
* Hold an up-to-date Child-only DBS certificate registered on the Update Service.
* Provide 2 professional references covering the last 24 months.
