Our Digital, Data and Technology teams are responsible for all aspects of computing and IT infrastructure across the University including cyber security, data management, data centres, networks, systems operations, user support, software and applications, user experience, learning technologies, events support, AV and digital media and identity management.
The Director of Digital, Data and Technology is an exciting new leadership opportunity, working with the Chief Information and Digital Officer to lead the University’s digital, data and technology strategy, alongside the day-to-day operations and management of the department, including line management of Senior Managers spanning three key areas – IT Operations, IT Solutions and Support., and functional oversight of circa 110 staff.
You will play a pivotal role in ensuring we are delivering robust, customer-orientated ICT solutions and services, alongside ensuring we are providing the best services to enable learning and teaching excellence, world class research and innovation, pioneering business engagement and knowledge exchange, and management and operational excellence.

Experience
* Experience in a Senior IT leadership role within a complex enterprise environment
* A technical grounding with a breadth of experience across infrastructure, operations, cyber security, applications, and integration
* Proven track record in driving, leading and managing high performing teams.
* Experience of managing OpEx and CapEx budgets
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with colleagues at all levels of an organisation, whether non-technical or technical
* Extensive experience of working collaboratively with Senior Leadership colleagues
* Experience of working within a Higher Education environment is desirable but not essential

In the course of our work and University-led activities, there may be external contractual obligations where a further Enhanced Check is required. DBS checks may require renewal in line with policy.
