Key Responsibilities:
* Teach Design and Technology across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, with the potential to teach Key Stage 5.
* Plan and deliver engaging and practical lessons that encourage creativity and problem-solving.
* Promote sustainability, innovation, and technical skills throughout the curriculum.
* Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback to support their learning and development.
* Contribute to departmental initiatives and extra-curricular activities such as clubs or competitions.
* Collaborate with colleagues to maintain high teaching standards and continuously improve the curriculum.
* Ensure the safety and productivity of students in the workshop and classroom environments.
The Ideal Candidate:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is desirable, but unqualified teachers with relevant experience are encouraged to apply.
* Experience teaching Design and Technology or a strong background in design, engineering, or a related field.
* A passion for teaching and helping students develop their practical skills and creativity.
* Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
* Knowledge of current curriculum requirements and health and safety regulations related to workshops.
* A positive, flexible, and proactive approach to teaching.
