Pay: £11.44 per hour
Hours: Flexible hours - including days, nights/sleep-ins, weekends, and Bank Holidays.

Ambient Support is a well-established registered charity in the UK, with over 25 years of dedicated experience in providing compassionate care and support services for older adults, individuals with mental health needs, and those with learning disabilities. We are proud of our commitment to improving the lives of our residents and fostering a supportive community. Our Lowestoft service is seeking compassionate and dedicated Support Workers to provide care for two female residents who need specialized assistance due to their complex needs.
Role of our Bank Care Support Workers:
As a Bank Care Support Worker, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for our residents.
Your responsibilities will include:
1. Offering compassionate social and emotional support, whether in the comfort of their home or the vibrant local community.
2. Assisting residents with personal care routines, including hygiene and grooming, ensuring they feel dignified and respected.
3. Helping residents manage their shopping needs and budget their finances effectively to promote independence.
4. Cultivating and maintaining supportive relationships with the friends and family members of our residents, fostering a sense of community and belonging.
5. Completing essential household tasks, such as cooking nutritious meals, cleaning, and laundry, to create a warm and inviting living environment.
6. Engaging residents in enjoyable outings, whether it’s a leisurely walk, dining out, or participating in recreational activities, allowing them to embrace new experiences.
Skills and Attributes of our Bank Care Support Workers:
We are looking for individuals who are not only skilled but also possess the right qualities to thrive in this role:
1. While experience supporting adults with learning disabilities, particularly those with autism, is preferred, we encourage you to apply even if your experience is limited as full training will be provided to equip you for success.
2. You should be a calm and caring person, with a positive and uplifting attitude that fosters a nurturing environment.
3. A strong sense of empathy and sensitivity towards the needs of others is essential in providing effective support.
4. Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, are necessary to connect with our residents and their families.
