Practice Plus Group are pleased to announce that they will be taking over the healthcare contract at HMP Garth, a Category B prison in Lancashire from 1st April 2025.
We have an exciting opportunity for a Patient Engagement Lead to join our team there from April. The prison houses around 1500 men with a variety of health needs and within this role, you'll be an integral part of the improvement of their engagement activities and satisfaction.
This position is full time working 37.5 hours per week. You will receive an annual salary of between £28,247 and £32,346 per annum depending on experience.

Main duties of the job
As a Patient Engagement Lead, your responsibilities will vary. You will:
* Be responsible for the improvement and stability of patient engagement activities and patient satisfaction.
* Act as a point of contact and respond to patient engagement inquiries from staff, external partners, and patients.
* Be responsible for the oversight and management of the health champion peer support model.
* Ensure statutory and organisational requirements are met, and that patient engagement activities are conducted frequently.

Qualifications and experience required:
You will hold GCSE grades C/4 or above in both English and Maths with experience of working as a peer representative in a criminal justice setting (including health, housing, substance use).
You will be required to have face-to-face engagement with patients as well as group facilitation/note-taking when necessary, so experience in these areas is desirable.
