The Role
The Global Head of Investor Acquisition (IA) is a senior leadership role within Hyve’s Energy Transition portfolio. This role leads the investor engagement strategy across 121s series of 5 investment summits and rolling subscriptions products throughout each year. Reporting into the Director of 121, the role will require you to be a fast starter, taking hold of the existing investor outreach process and develop a new year-round engagement strategy that feeds into the 121 and MI event cycles as well as industry networking events.
The investor strategy will onboard new investors, as well as maintain existing investor portfolio. This role focuses on driving the investor portfolio growth while keeping its highest quality by identifying, targeting, and securing new institutional investors (e.g., pension funds, hedge funds, family offices), debt investors and high-net-worth individuals to ensure corporate mining clients have access to new potential investors globally. This individual will work closely with senior Energy Transition portfolio management, marketing, sales, and investor relations teams to ensure alignment with portfolio’s overall growth objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategy Development and Execution
* Develop and execute the global investor acquisition strategy ensuring the approach is tailored to each region’s specific characteristics.
* Regularly analyse market trends, investor behaviour, and commodities sector conferences landscape to identify new pools of capital for junior miners
Targeting, Investor Engagement and Relationship Building:
* Identify and target potential investors through various channels, including direct outreach, industry events, share register analysis and partnerships.
* Work closely with marketing, research, and data analytics teams to maintain a robust pipeline of investors, qualify leads, and manage the quality of the registration and retention.
Meeting fulfilment
* Oversee, forecast and report on meeting fulfilment, identifying risks and opportunities
* Establish service level agreements with commercial team on meeting fulfilment for corporates
* Oversee set up of meetings planner from investor perspective, ensuring its fit for purpose and optimised to deliver ROT
Team leadership and management
* Establish clear KPIs for Investor Acquisition team on new investor acquisition and meeting fulfilment, whilst maintaining the quality of attendees. Drive daily rigour in team to hit and exceed targets
* Line manage and develop IA team to drive a business development mindset and enable data-led decision-making
Cross-functional Collaboration
* Work closely with Content and Marketing teams inform campaigns for investor acquisition across 121 events and The Assay
* Work closely with Commercial Teams to ensure Investor acquisitions targets align with the commercial goals of the business
* Work with Operations team to inform event floor plans and investor experience
Skills Required:
* Exceptional leadership and communication skills.
* Strong understanding of the global investor landscape in mining / commodities industry and ability to adapt strategies to different markets and investor segments.
* Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives and deadlines
* Ability to work in a fast-paced, global environment with a diverse team.
* Sector related experience gained within asset management, corporate access or a large listed company is advantageous
* Experience in managing teams across multiple jurisdictions
* Conduct and feedback on sector research specific to the range of products within 121
