Salary: Scale 6 point 18-22 £24,725.46-£26,420.53 (Pro rata actual salary)
Hours: 35 Hours per week
Working Pattern: 8.30am -4pm term time only

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Safeguarding & Welfare Officer to join our dynamic Inclusion and Safeguarding Team.
In this vital role, you will:
Promote the welfare, wellbeing, and mental health of our students.
Work closely with pupils, families, and external agencies to provide coordinated support.
Monitor student attendance and identify patterns of concern.
Offer guidance and support to parents and carers.
Act as the Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead (DDSL), playing a key role in safeguarding procedures and ensuring compliance with safeguarding legislation and best practices.
You will be an empathetic and resilient individual with experience in safeguarding and welfare support, ideally within an educational setting. Excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of child protection legislation, and the ability to work collaboratively with a range of stakeholders are essential.
You will:
Have experience in a safeguarding role
Be reflective, caring and emotionally resilient
Have effective, clear communication and interpersonal skills
Have at least a grade C (or equivalent) in English and Maths
Have a good record of punctuality and attendance
Skills required:
