Due to the retirement of the Finance Manager, we are seeking an Admin and Finance Assistant to support our Practice Manager and finance department with daily admin and accounting tasks. The ideal candidate will be organised, able to learn new skills quickly with attention to detail, pro-active and capable of multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment. They will need to be flexible and adaptable to work for the NHS, which is an ever-changing environment.

Main Duties of the Job
Key Responsibilities:
Finance Support
1. Manage mailboxes and petty cash
2. Assist with financial reconciliations
3. Assist with month-end claims
4. Prepare the monthly payroll
5. General finance admin
Admin Support to the Practice Manager
To support the practice manager in the effective administration and management of the practice. The PA to the practice manager will work under the direction of the practice manager and Partners, striving to enhance a number of key systems in both clinical and administrative areas.
1. Supporting the practice manager with projects, systems and procedures
2. Arranging meetings, preparing agendas and producing minutes when needed
3. Undertaking tasks in areas of change management and continuous improvement
4. Providing key performance information when requested
5. Friends & Family Survey
HR Support
1. Contributing to the development, implementation and embedding of an effective practice training program for all staff
2. In conjunction with the practice manager, set and monitor performance targets, identifying areas for improvement to enhance patient services
3. Support Practice Manager in the compilation of practice reports
4. Provide appropriate assistance to the Practice Manager in day-to-day activities and duties
