Job Description: Equipment Maintenance Engineer
We are seeking a dedicated Equipment Maintenance Engineer to join our team. Your primary responsibility will be to provide hardware maintenance support to the Etch Team, working on ICP, DSi-v, Rapier, and Synapse modules. This involves performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting machine failures, carrying out repairs, and assisting in the installation and start-up of new equipment in the demo lab.
Additional responsibilities include ensuring the cleanliness of the clean room and parts storage areas, performing risk assessments, providing BA/ERT support, and collaborating with the Etch team to ensure safe operating practices within the clean room.
This role requires continual shift work, alternating weekly between early and late shifts.
Key Responsibilities:
* Perform regular maintenance and repair of machines to prevent failures.
* Assist in the installation and start-up of new equipment in the demo lab.
* Plan and execute work safely and efficiently.
* Contribute to development project teams by providing technical input.
* Communicate results and ideas effectively to engineers, managers, and stakeholders.
* Reconfigure hardware options to support ongoing demonstrations.
* Conduct preventative maintenance, fault finding, and repairs across all module types.
* Follow safe operating practices in the clean room.
* Participate in planning and executing safe work plans involving complex systems with various energy sources and toxic gases, including relevant risk assessments.
* Maintain accurate maintenance records and parts inventory.
* Contribute to continual safety improvements.
Qualifications and Experience:
Applicants should have a BTEC or higher qualification in electrical/electronic engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related discipline. Experience with SPTS etch modules, RF test equipment, and electronic fault finding is advantageous.
