We are currently seeking an experienced Marine Engineering Lead to join a team.
We have an exciting opportunity to help build and manage a world class Marine Engineering team, working on key UK Defence programmes.
We have secured a new exciting opportunity with a tier 1 client and are looking for the right Engineering Lead to help us grow, mature and delivery our Marine activities. As a Structural Stress Engineer, you will have technical responsibility for the teams Marine Engineering work including Marine Seating, Stress / Fluid Analysis, Ship Design and Design Cost Optimisation.
Responsibilities:
: Technical Management of the team's task,
: Signing off deliverables prior to customer delivery (drawing, technical reports etc.)
: Acting as the technical Point of Contact with customers.
: Collaborate and lead cross:functional teams to develop innovative design solutions that meet customer requirements and project objectives.
: Define and derive Marime Engineering solutions
: Lead customer solution workshops
: Support recruitment of the Marine Engineering Team
: Generate detailed technical reports and documentation to communicate analysis results and recommendations.
: Participate or lead design reviews and provide technical expertise to support the development and improvement of marine seating systems.
: Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices related to structural stress analysis and marine seating.
Requirements:
: Bachelors degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. Masters degree preferred.
: Broad Marine engineering experience
: Experience of Defence product development lifecycles, for example design reviews
: Good knowledge of Defence Marine Engineering standards
: Experience of technical and line management
: Experience of managing engineering Work Packages to deliver to time, cost and quality requirements.
: Good knowledge of Structural Stress Engineer, preferably in the aerospace and defence industry.
: Strong knowledge of marine seating systems and their structural requirements.
: Proficiency in using industry:standard software tools for structural analysis, such as ANSYS, NASTRAN, or ABAQUS.
: Familiarity with relevant industry codes and standards, such as MIL:STD, ASME, or ISO.
: Excellent analytical and problem:solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex engineering data and make sound recommendations.
: Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, to collaborate with cross:functional teams and present technical information clearly.
