We are seeking a skilled Welder Fabricator to join our client’s team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for fabricating, welding, and manufacturing parts according to engineering drawings, ensuring that all specifications are met, and the work quality meets the company’s high standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform MIG or TIG welding on steel components as specified in engineering drawings and welding procedure specifications (WPS).
Set up and lay out work using jigs, fixtures, or hand layouts to fabricate parts and/or rework finished products.
Collaborate with fitters or fitters/welders to fabricate or weld multi-component parts.
Operate forklifts, hoists, hand power tools, slings, grinders, cutting torches, and other hand tools as needed for the job.
Inspect and correct welds to ensure compliance with product specifications, referencing welding specifications, weld plans, and company standards (EN 1090).
Read, understand, and follow job orders, engineering drawings, and work orders accurately.
Crosstrain and perform other job tasks outside the primary welding duties as needed.
Inspect and maintain equipment to ensure proper functionality. Report any equipment issues to the supervisor, lead, or maintenance department.
Perform a variety of complex tasks as required.
Ensure all products are properly identified in compliance with EN1090 standards.
Maintain welding certifications, ensuring compliance with ISO EN 96061 as per EN 1090.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in welding fabrication.
Proficiency in MIG and TIG welding techniques.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
Knowledge of welding standards, including EN 1090 and ISO EN 96061.
Strong attention to detail and quality assurance.
Ability to operate various tools and equipment safely.
