Are you passionate about supporting students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs?
A full-time Behaviour Support Assistant is required at a secondary school in Basingstoke to support students in the classroom. This role offers a salary between £17,500 to £19,500 per year (depending on experience), with a start date available ASAP or from Easter 2025. Working hours are 8:30 AM to 3:15 PM, and a permanent contract is available following a successful probation period. You'll play a key role in creating a positive learning environment, helping students stay engaged and reach their full potential.
Responsibilities as a Behaviour Support Assistant:
* Support students with SEMH needs, helping them stay engaged in learning.
* Assist with classroom activities, ensuring students remain on track.
* Work closely with the welfare team to promote a positive learning environment.
* Implement behaviour management strategies tailored to individual student needs.
* Provide emotional and academic support to help students reach their potential.
Requirements for the Behaviour Support Assistant:
* Experience working with students with SEMH or transferable skills from a similar role.
* A patient, resilient, and compassionate approach.
* Strong communication and teamwork skills.
* Ability to foster a supportive and structured learning environment.
* Have an updated CV and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one).
