We have an exciting opportunity for a technically minded Account Manager, possibly from the consultancy space, to join a forward-thinking and innovative company based in the East Midlands. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with clients on a variety of exciting projects, serving as the primary relationship owner for a portfolio of top tier accounts. To be considered for the role, you’ll require the following essentials:
3+ years’ experience in customer success and/or account management predominately in B2B environment
Excellent communication skills with a focus on relationships, able to gain trust through communication, expectation setting and completion of planned deliverables
Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities, balancing client deliverables on multiple projects as well as internal obligations
Bachelor's Degree in appropriate field of study (Sciences, Engineering or Technology) or equivalent work experience
Technically driven to deliver
Ability to understand client “pain points”
Track record of delivering against a revenue target
Experience of account management with FTSE 100 /Fortune 500 clients
Knowledge of the R&D / Innovation space
Ability to write sales proposals & build presentations
The ideal candidate will be a highly resilient self-starter, motivated and willing to work in a technical environment with technical leads in clients project teams. You will be comfortable with a “consultative” sales approach, and a gradual sales cycle, reaching sales agreements for large fees.
Within this position, you’ll also be:
Managing multiple accounts; developing positive working relationships with all customer touch points
Driving client retention, renewals, upsells and client satisfaction
Partnering with internal cross-functional teams to understand customer goals and key performance metrics and exceed those goals throughout the campaign
Leveraging technical tools and quantitative data to manage campaigns to success, high customer satisfaction and renewal
Preparing campaign insights reporting, including analysis and research
Focusing on ensuring superior customer service levels are maintained, as well as operational excellence and strategic insight
Maintaining CRM systems
Preparing stats for own performance on a weekly basis
Salary & Working Hours
Salary is £65,000 - £70,000 + uncapped commission but a realistic OTE of £90,000
Working hours are Monday – Friday
Some travel outside of the UK may be required
