Main duties of the job

As part of your induction into the Trust, you will have a full week's paid induction which will get you integrated with the Trust's systems and up to date with our mandatory training. You will also get a paid shadow shift in one of our clinical areas where you will be supported in familiarising yourself with our electronic patient record system and getting to know our patients and staff.

Person Specification
Qualifications
* Current registration with NMC, part one or two of the register
* Diploma, BSc or MSc in Nursing
Experience
* At least 6 months clinical experience in an acute setting within the last 2 years
* Adhering to the NMC Code of Conduct and professional practice guidance
* Good theoretical and practical knowledge of nursing within the clinical area
* Knowledge of health and safety, clinical governance and quality assurance
* Awareness and need to demonstrate a professional appearance and behaviour
* Aware of cultural and social influences on health and of the importance of respecting diversity and differences
* Ability to problem solve, use own initiative, plan, organise and prioritise workload
* Proven communication skills, written and oral
* Able to work collaboratively with the multi-disciplinary team, patients and their relatives
* Have good IT skills and be motivated to learn and use specialist applications and technologies
