There is a vacancyfor a full time Speciality doctor working into Hartlepool CMHT and CommunityHub Team. This post is based at Stewart House, Hartlepool; clinics are also atStewart House. The Speciality doctor will be expected to provide committed, proactive,and responsive clinical leadership working with other staff to provide anassessment and treatment service. The speciality doctor is supported by aFoundation Doctor post and supervised by the Consultant based in Stewart House.Hartlepool has a population of 92,000. Currently,the team has one Consultant covering the teams. The consultants will supportboth teams in Hartlepool. The post advertised does not carry any inpatient orcrisis commitment.
Main duties of the job
The Specialty Doctor will work as part of amulti-disciplinary team and provide clinical expertise for both new and ongoingcases particularly issues around psychopharmacology, diagnosis, riskassessments including liaison with the local GPs and inpatient units.
The outpatient work will be at Stewart House(timetable attached) however there will be opportunity for home visits with thecare co-ordinator and liaison with Roseberry Park Hospital for instanceformulation meetings and pre-discharge meetings.
The patients will generally be seen withtheir care co-ordinator and although the Specialty Doctor will be able to workautonomously and independently in terms of decision making, there will be closeand ready supervision available from the Consultant Psychiatrist/SpecialistPsychiatrist. There is also a Core Trainee attached to this Team who issupervised by Dr Hedge.

5. MB BS or equivalent medical qualification.

8. Approved under S12 of MHA OR able to achieve within 6 months of appointment.
