An expanding business based near Fleet is offering an opportunity for an experienced Workshop Technician to join their team. The role is ideal for a candidate with experience in a hands-on workshop environment and looking for some career development.
The Workshop Technician will provide technical support with:
* Equipment build and test
* Conversion of stock equipment to satisfy customer requirements
* Understanding how the technology is constructed and operates
* Disassembly, inspection, repair, and re-assembly
* Interpretting detailed instructions, engineering drawings and create technical reports
* Fault diagnosis and analysis of the equipment to identify potential system issues and offer advice for improvements
* Checking of incoming goods against engineering drawings with quality awareness
* Disassembly and assembly of rotating equipment.
Responsibilities include:
* Maintaining an efficient and safe workshop and test area environment
* Compliance with all health & safety standards and regulations
* Ensuring full conformance to work instructions, procedures, quality standards and specifications
* Following standard operating procedures.
Key skills we're looking for:
* Proven experience in a manufacturing/repair environment with – ideally 3/5 years of engineering experience
* Ideally an engineering qualification or evidence of a previous apprenticeship
* Good mathematical knowledge, able to use simple equations and conversion of units of measure
* A strong technical ability in mechanical systems
* Clean driving licence.
