The Role:
* This is a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated Head Veterinary Nurse looking to grow within a forward-thinking, well-equipped practice that values teamwork, professional development, and work-life balance.
* Reporting to an experienced Practice Manager, the Head Veterinary Nurse will play a key leadership role, ensuring the smooth operation of the practice while directly managing a team of 3 RVNs, 1 student nurse, and 2 VCAs.
* The ideal candidate will be an inspiring and composed leader with strong communication and organisational skills, capable of motivating the team, maximizing efficiencies, and driving a culture of continuous quality improvement and clinical excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
* Overseeing and supporting the veterinary nursing team.
* Working closely with vets to optimize clinical operations.
* Ensuring high standards of patient care and client service.
* Encouraging professional development within the nursing team.
Hours:
* Full-time position (40 hours per week) – flexible to negotiate a minimum of 35 hours.
* NO out-of-hours, no on-call, and no backup rota – ensuring a healthy work-life balance.
