Are you an ambitious Personal Tax Assistant Manager or established Tax Manager in South Wales looking for a new challenge with a leading firm of accountants at Manager level? Accountancy Practice and Tax recruitment specialists Clark Wood are delighted to be working with a regional firm in Cardiff who are looking to add an ambitious and driven Personal Tax Manager to their team.
As a Personal Tax Manager, you will work closely with the Senior Tax Manager and Partners to ensure the efficient provision of a range of technical services to a variety of prestigious clients based across the UK. You will form an integral part of the firm’s personal tax team and will be responsible for managing your own client portfolio. You will have responsibility for overseeing Tax Seniors and Trainees within the team, which will see you reviewing their work and providing support and guidance to them as necessary.
The ideal candidate may be ATT or CTA Qualified and will have a wealth of experience in Personal Tax (ideally a minimum of 5 years).

Duties & Responsibilities:
1. Manage and service your own private client portfolio, including the delivery of self-assessment tax returns and advisory work.
2. Manage more junior members of the team to deliver on your portfolio.
3. Responsibility for departmental initiatives and programmes while continuing involvement in supervision, training, and development of the team.
4. Possible line management of more junior members of staff.
5. Ensure tax department administration is kept up to date and routine administration dealt with in a timely manner.
6. Liaise and communicate with other departments, clients, and partners.
7. Identify cross-selling opportunities to partner through networking.
8. Support Tax Partner.
9. Maintain up-to-date technical knowledge.
10. Involvement in marketing of the tax service line by attending client functions and seminars.
11. Review complex client tax returns.
Skills:
ATT Qualified / CTA Qualified with 5+ years’ experience ideally. Strong Personal Tax experience within a practice environment is essential.
