With a speciality in shipping goods all over the world for over 30 years, they are expanding further and seeking an experienced Customs Manager to join them in a new office at Felixstowe Port for a New Year opportunity.
Competitive salary (depending upon experience) and an attractive retainer bonus every 6 months, on-going short-term incentive bonus and private healthcare insurance with premiums paid by the company. 25 + 8 days holiday, working Monday to Friday 09.00-17.30.
This Customs Manager should have strong managerial skills and at least 10 years of experience in the port customs sector, or a substantial length of time with a customs business.
Extensive experience in customs management and the maritime sector, capable of managing port customs operations, handling, and maritime freight rates to and from Felixstowe.
The idea of managing a team within a branch with complex customs will hopefully excite you – do you have the ability and determination to develop a new customs office?
Other language such as Italian or French an advantage.
A good standard of both written and spoken English is imperative, as are solid maths and geography skills. Commercial awareness and ability to negotiate at a high level are paramount, as is the ability to maintain long-term professional relationships.
