MINISTER OF RELIGION (ASSISTANT PASTOR)
Job description
RCCG Hope Chapel Manchester, England seeks to employ a Minister of Religion (Assistant Pastor) with immediate effect. The candidate should be a Born again Spirit Filled Christian Believer who must have gone through Believers’ class and the Discipleship class process in a pentecostal church. Evidence of previous spiritual development or certification will be required if invited to attend an interview. Previous experience of working with the children, evangelism, leading prayer and accounting background will be an added advantage. Our congregation encompasses people from different backgrounds, race and ethnicity, but the dominant groups are BAME (Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic). Evidence of training and on-going spiritual development will be required if invited to attend an interview.
Responsibilities
1. Lead the effort to develop programmes and events for Evangelism
2. Effectively partner with various ministry teams to support the Church’s outreach programmes and events
3. Organise seminars, webinars, and workshops to equip and educate church members about effective Evangelism
4. Create an Outreach Care Strategy
5. Initiate and create new frontiers of how the good news would reach more people.
6. Organise monthly and quarterly prayer meetings to intercede for new converts.
7. Assist with the Coordination and communication of the Church’s Evangelism Day and other local outreaches.
8. Provide regular updates to the Resident Pastor regarding the progress and accomplishment of defined tasks and goals.
9. Mentor and train the younger generation interested in learning or perfecting their desired skills.
10. Engage in prayer and fasting with a view to build spiritual covering for the children church and promoting young people's interests.
11. Organise prayer meetings and evangelistic programmes for the parish.
12. Supporting the Pastorate in conducting the Holy Communion service.
Skills and Knowledge Required
Applicant must be a committed member a pentecostal church.
Previous Pastoral experience will be an advantage.
Experience in Hymns, Contemporary, Western and African Gospel music of different genres.
The applicant must be capable of working independently and as part of a team to achieve results.
The applicant should be able to communicate in multiple language.
Providing religious education as required in the church and teaching people who seek conversion to Christianity. Offering pastoral care, counselling and welfare support to children of the church.
The applicant must understand the principles of confidentiality.
We are looking for someone who is a Born again, Spirit Filled Christian Believer who must have gone through believer’s/baptismal training from any reputable Pentecostal Church.
Initiative and self-manage capability.
Ability to solve problems quickly and effectively.
High energy and a positive attitude.
Curious personality, eager to learn and grow, takes initiative and always goes the ‘extra mile.
Qualifications
Diploma in any Religious studies
Remuneration & Work Environment
DBS clearance will be required for this job since it involves dealing with adults and children. Disclosure expense will be met by the employee.
The role is full time working in the church office. Church Location, 958/960 Stockport Road Levenshulme, Manchester M19 3NN
Flexible Working Options Available due to COVID-19.
Salary – £10.45 per Hour
Experiences
Active participation in Pastoral role, teaching and conducting church service, evidence will be required during interview.
