Planned Maintenance Manager – Closing date – 23.02.2025
Salary from £55,701 to £60,213 pa depending on skills and experience
Plus Lease car or cash alternative of £3,500 pa
Permanent – Full time – 37 hours per week

There are increased responsibilities on Councils to ensure that well planned effective services are delivered which demonstrably meet all building standards and fire safety requirements.
You will be managing the provision of the Planned Maintenance service to the Council’s housing assets. Ensuring best practice in housing assets management you will focus on always achieving and maintaining housing decency.
Providing line management to the Planned Maintenance team in the planning, delivering and recording of planned aids and adaptations programmes, you will work closely with colleagues to ensure a coordinated approach to the delivery of corporate and housing priorities and projects along with:
1. Developing and introducing new and/or better methods of providing and delivering the maintenance service and asset management.
2. Identifying issues and preparing policy documents and reports, and if appropriate, attending and representing the interests of the housing department at Cabinet meetings, Committees, Scrutiny meetings or any task group or working group.
3. Assisting in the implementation of the Asset Management Strategy and taking a strategic view of the housing stock portfolio and making recommendations as necessary.
4. Preparing the 30-year planned maintenance programme and associated budget.
To be proficient in this role, it is essential that you have detailed knowledge of health and safety, particularly regarding CDM Regulations along with having experience in:
* Management within a housing setting
* Managing a planned maintenance service
* Development, production and supervision of various types of maintenance work to occupied properties in a housing setting.
* Procurement and contract management of various types of maintenance work.
* Managing large budgets.
* Good technical and communication skills to deal with contractors, outside organisations, tenants and the public.
It is a requirement of the role that you will be included in the ‘on-call’ rota for maintenance-related matters.
