Our people are at the heart of our purpose to advance aviation and keep the skies safe Job Purpose/Overview The H&S team delivers, assures, and advises risk owners across NATS. You will manage and assure CDM processes, ensuring they drive and enable compliance. Reporting to the Head of H&S you will advise on the implementation of the management system, providing construction and FM functional expertise. You will engage with risk owners, enabling them to identify, understand, assess, manage and govern risk across the business. You combine discipline expertise with a deep understanding of the business, assisting decision makers in planning for, and managing, H&S risk. You are pro-active and strategic, building strong relationships with risk owners with an ability to prioritise demands and workloads Other duties Include Collaborative working with FM and CDM risk owners to drive positive change and improve performance Lead H&S team audit and inspection activities Generate performance insight and report on improvement strategies Positively challenge current thinking, engaging with construction and FM communities to support stakeholders in decision making Develop, maintain and assure CDM H&S processes, documentation and training activities Lead accident investigations, ensuring effective learning from experience and communication with responsible persons Deliver and report on functional HS risk and/or system improvement projects using lean methodologies Work with NATS FM team to establish a programme of due diligence inspections across the business Demonstrate behaviours aligned with Level 2 of the NATS' 'Our Behaviours' framework Essential Skills and Experience Level 5 Diploma in Health & Safety management or equivalent Level 3 FM related qualification (or equivalent experience) Experience supported by qualification in Construction Safety Management e.g. NEBOSH Certificate ISO 45001 Auditor Qualification or equivalent Experience in developing and implementing HS management systems and audit programmes Understanding of H&S management tools such as Q pulse, 5WHY, Root Cause Analysis, SWIFT, FTA and Bow-Tie Experience of delivering successful continual improvement projects Experience in analysing data and trends from all aspects of H&S Adept at networking and building relationships with all levels of management and staff Good understanding of HS risk and change management Lean or Six Sigma methodologies/training (preferred) Willing to self-develop by attending training and through CPD Flexible approach to working as this role will require travel Lead accident investigation training and experience Demonstrates expert understanding of Construction and FM related duty holder responsibilities Additional Vacancy Information We are proud to offer a fantastic total reward package to help you thrive both personally and professionally - for more information on what NATS can offer you please visit - Why NATS? - NATS We have adopted agile working to provide greater flexibility and increased choice over working arrangements, with the opportunity for this role to work in our modern office facilities as well as remotely.
