Job summary To provide senior leadership to the nursing and AHP workforce within the theatres and associated areas across UHNM, delivering frontline professional and operational priorities. Provide management and support to departmental nurse/AHP managers, and to support the Clinical Director and management team to develop strategy, implement business plans and monitor quality. The Theatre Matron is expected to work for the clinical and business success of the directorate, contributing to the corporate success of the trust, requiring innovation and inclusive participation in initiating changes in line with trust management decisions. Main duties of the job The Theatre Matron will promote professionalism, ensure effective and robust communication systems are in place for patient's, visitors and staff and actively promote a culture of of health education/ill health prevention.
