Job Title: HR Advisor
Location: Hartlepool Factory
Salary: £40,000, standard benefits (5% pension match, single BUPA, 25 holidays + BH)
Working Hours: 40 hours M-F 8am-5pm, 5 Days in the office.
Team Structure: 1 line manager, another BP in the team, and 2 administrators.
Job Description:
* Primary point of contact for Business Unit leads to fully support their key business performance issues, objectives, and drivers, and associated people requirements for both the current and future business challenges.
* Report and gain support and advice from People Operations Sub Divisional Partner.
* Provide fully generalist support to Business Unit leads on a day-to-day basis.
* Ensure confidentiality is always maintained (Data Protection and GDPR) – including emails, letters, filing, etc.
* Ensure accurate and timely data entry onto HR systems – ensuring the ongoing integrity of data.
* Provide management information when requested.
* Ensure that all requests have been correctly approved and are processed within the agreed timescales e.g. payroll data/ leaver processing / reporting / new starter information etc.
* Support the reconciliation of payroll adjustments for both weekly paid and salaried staff.
* Assist with in-house awareness/training material that gives guidance to managers on expected practice and Company procedure.
* Ensure proactive, accurate and timely support for employee relations cases, such as Discipline, Grievance, Dismissal, Appeals, Redundancy and TUPE.
* Review, monitor and manage Sickness Absence Management, and work with managers to achieve an early conclusion, whilst following policy and sound procedures.
* Work with managers on performance and capability issues, including Performance Improvement Plans, action plans, etc. Where directed.
* Ensure that advice is in-line with prevailing legislation and/or Company policy to minimise the risk to the Company.
* Demonstrate knowledge of current Company practice & associated legislation by giving the right advice, confidentially & authoritatively.
* Keep abreast of changes in employment legislation.
* Act as the Subject Matter Expert for all employees, answering queries on process and policy where possible and referring to the PO lead where a more comprehensive response is required.
* Facilitate and report back on regular meetings with key managers / stakeholders to understand business activities and the potential impact on the function.
* Attend and engage fully in any learning and development activities that are deemed appropriate by your line management.
* Champion EDI across all areas of the business unit.
* Collaborating with P&C Partner - assist with the identification of potentials in the subdivision and conducting potential reviews.
