An exciting opportunity has arisen to appoint an outstanding teacher to join our high performing Sociology department. Our Sociology department is nationally renowned for its academic success, consistently achieving amongst the best A Level Results in the country with an average grade per entry of A+ in 2024. 55 of the 72 students in 2024 achieved A*/A grades, with 31 students achieving an A* grade. We also offer GCSE Sociology and student attainment is equally impressive: average grade in 2024 was 6.5 from a mixed ability group of 43 students.
The AQA GCSE and GCE A Level specifications are delivered by a dedicated team of specialist Sociology teachers, all of whom are graduates of the subject. The department prides itself on the professional development of its staff, who benefit from the support of experienced and passionate colleagues with a track record of delivering impressive outcomes for students. We currently have 115 students studying Sociology at A/AS level and 80 at GCSE.
We are seeking a highly qualified and ambitious Sociology graduate to inspire our amazingly talented young people to realise their dreams.
