They provid e objective financial advice to inform decisions and drive improvements in areas like pricing, efficiency, and cost management. Responsibilities include preparing financial plans, targets, budgets and forecasts, and reporting on both financial and non-financial performance. The Audit Northern business, part of this structure, generates around £125m annually, employs 700 staff, and offers statutory and related audit services across various sectors, excluding Financial Services, serving diverse clients in Northern England and Scotland. What your days will look like: The Finance Manager will work in close partnership with the Finance Leader and the junior member of the Finance Team and Business Unit Leadership in providing commercial business unit decision support. The Finance Manager will have the opportunity to develop the skill-set for future progression, if desired. As a Finance Manager for our Northern Audit team your role will involve: Contribute to business and strategy planning by preparing financial aspects of business plans, identifying, and prioriti s ing financial objectives, and developing annual budgets and forecasts. Analy s e monthly financial results, provide commentary, identify business issues, and propose actions to address performance challenges, while supporting profit and margin improvement initiatives. Assist in pricing support, financial awareness training, and address queries from audit teams, ensuring adherence to financial policies and procedures. Collaborate with the Financial Control centr e to promote financial discipline, share financial risk knowledge, and review controls work, while fostering relationships within the Finance community. This role is for you if: Must possess an ACCA, ACA, or CIMA qualification (or international equivalent) with background of strong commercial acumen. Demonstrates a proactive approach, taking responsibility for completing tasks efficiently. Focuses on continuous improvement and action-oriented problem-solving.
