Internal Auditor - 12 month FTC - Fully remote with occasional site visitsA leading UK construction firm, are looking for a part qualified account with some relevant audit experience. Candidates will be based from home, with site visits every 6 weeks. These visits may often include overnight stays. All expenses will be covered.Although not essential, construction experience would be useful.The role requires strong analytical and communication skills.The Internal Audit department provides a risk-based internal audit service to the group. This service is primarily delivered through audits of key controls in individual business units and company-wide process audits of high-risk areas. The department reports to the Audit Committee of the Board and is resourced through a small team of permanent staff.The role of the Internal Auditor, reporting to the Audit Manager, is to engage with the business to deliver the work of the Internal Audit department in a professional manner. The Internal Auditor will also collaborate with other members of the department.Key Responsibilities: Prepare and execute audits, including leading meetings, performing testing, evaluating evidence, and documenting results Identify potential findings and agree on their factual accuracy and potential impact with auditees Formulate and agree on action plans, including their importance and time frames, with auditees Follow up on the implementation of agreed actions Facilitate business unit risk reviewsAbout You: Experience in Internal Audit or with a firm of accountants Knowledge of the construction sector is beneficial but not required Part-qualified in a relevant accountancy or internal auditing qualification Ability to produce high-quality work and collaborate effectively as part of a team, both remotely and in-person Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills, including the ability to deliver difficult messages and negotiate action plans Effective time management and planning skills Analytical and inquisitive mindsetRandstad Business Support acts as an employment business when supplying temporary staff and as an employment agency when introducing candidates for permanent employment with a client.
