Job Title: Learning Support Assistant - Hourly Paid
Salary: £12.83 per hour inclusive of holiday pay
Contract: MC Teaching Support
Hours: Part time 12.5 hours per week (38 weeks term time only)

About the role
The Learning Support Assistant will report directly to a SEN Team Leader to provide high quality learning support, ensuring all aspects of the students’ requirements for support are met whilst they are in college.
High Needs provision at Middlesbrough College was recently judged to be Outstanding by Ofsted (February 2024) and this role is vital in ensuring that our progress continues and that all learners, regardless of their needs, thrive, progress and achieve their individual outcomes. In joining the ALS team at Middlesbrough College, you will play a vital role in our recently Ofsted inspected Outstanding High Needs provision. Staff joining the department will become part of an inclusive, welcoming, and supportive team with a diverse range of skills, backgrounds, and passions; all of which are aligned to supporting students to achieve their very best.
Please note that all appointments are subject to a satisfactory Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check and receipt of two satisfactory references. You will be expected to evidence Maths & English achievements and a relevant qualification or working towards.

The successful candidate will have:
* An appropriate Level 2 qualification or equivalent in supporting students with learning difficulties/care or the commitment to complete within an agreed timescale.
* Grade C or above in Maths and English (or equivalent).
* A commitment to undertake any mandatory training relevant to the role.
