As Regional Manager, you will be responsible for the recruitment, management, and ongoing development of all members of the installation team based at the Kaboodle Guildford depot. You will work closely with the wider management team to support our installation workforce and ensure their working day runs as smoothly as possible.
You will support the senior leadership team by ensuring that the right level of installer resource is available at the right time as per budgeted expectations throughout the year. You will be responsible for handling performance-related issues within the installation team, as well as championing reward and recognition for high-performing installers.
The role will require you to maintain a professional relationship with installers at all times, providing firm but supportive direction. Your hands-on approach and strong relationships with the installation workforce will help to foster a positive culture and provide valuable insight to the senior leadership team.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
1. Initially advertise, interview, recruit, and train White goods/Kitchen appliance installers and a warehouse person, building a small team during the lead-up to depot opening.
2. Identify training requirements and ensure the necessary training is taking place.
3. Lead and manage the content of the installer WhatsApp group as a positive means of communication.
4. Carry out regular 1-1’s bi-annually across all Kaboodle Guildford installation/Warehouse employees.
5. Carry out ride-along audits a minimum of 2 days per month covering all installation workforce in rotation.
6. Carry out HR duties including but not limited to recruitment, investigation meetings, disciplinary hearings, return to work meetings, new employee onboarding and induction, Breathe updates, holiday requests.
7. Support the marketing department with positive stories and updates from the Kaboodle Guildford depot to be used on our LinkedIn and Workplace social media platforms.
8. Develop and maintain a positive team culture through regular communication, meetings, social events, and feedback forums.
9. Mentor and encourage trainees working towards their gas safe qualification. Look for opportunities for progression for high-performing installation team members.
10. Enforce all company policy & compliance relating to the installation team. Maintain high standards of appearance through enforcing our uniform policy and vehicle cleanliness.
11. Manage agency driver resource as and when required.
12. Carry out regular vehicle checks on rotation, covering all vehicles a minimum of once a month. Checks for Regional Manager include the following – Ensure correct equipment is held on the vehicle and stored correctly, e.g. fixtures/fittings, stair climbers, shoring bars etc. ensure cabs are in a clean and tidy order and clean vehicle appearance.
13. Manage customer care allegations with the installer, based on feedback from the customer care manager and monthly performance KPI’s.
14. Monitor monthly performance KPI’s and work to actively improve trends through performance management.
15. Update monthly pay tracker with holidays, day rates, additions, deductions, new starters, and leavers.
16. Attend and actively contribute to monthly managers meetings.
17. Waste Management: In close liaison with the warehouse manager, monitor cardboard, WEEE, metal, Wood, General, Polystyrene, refrigeration disposal. (region specific)
18. Schedule the work for your teams, including:
* Schedule the work in an efficient manner.
* Assign fitters, drivers, and vehicles to routes and trunks.
