Key Responsibilities
* Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons designed to meet the unique needs of students with a variety of SEN.
* Collaborate with teaching assistants and support staff to create and implement Individual Learning Plans (ILPs) that support academic, emotional, and social development.
* Continuously assess and monitor student progress, making adjustments to teaching strategies and interventions as necessary.
* Cultivate an inclusive, supportive classroom atmosphere that builds student confidence and fosters independence.
* Work closely with parents, caregivers, and external agencies to ensure the best outcomes for each student.
* Adhere to the school’s safeguarding policies and ensure the well-being and safety of all students.
About You
The ideal candidate will:
* Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification.
* Have proven experience working with secondary school students with SEN.
* Possess a strong understanding of SEN strategies, IEPs, and effective behaviour management techniques.
* Demonstrate excellent communication and teamwork skills.
* Be passionate about inclusive education, inspiring and motivating students to achieve their full potential.
Desirable
* Additional qualifications in SEN, such as the National Award for SEN Coordination (NASENCO).
* Experience working with specific needs, such as Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), ADHD, or sensory impairments.
