As the Lead IT Operations Engineer, you will be an integral part of a global IT team, reporting directly to the Head of Enterprise IT. In this role, you will provide leadership, coordination, and oversight to a distributed team of IT Operations Engineers. Your primary responsibilities will include effective monitoring, management, and troubleshooting of IT and network issues in onshore environments. You will ensure high service standards and adherence to company policies while maintaining and optimizing our onshore IT systems to support our staff. Your goal is to ensure seamless and efficient operations across the business. What will you do: Lead, mentor, and support IT Operations Engineers across multiple locations; Coordinate work schedules, ensuring adequate coverage for 1st & 2nd line support; Monitor ticket queues and ensure timely resolution of incidents and requests; Promote a culture of continuous improvement and knowledge sharing; Provide technical expertise to staff regarding technical issues on systems and peripherals; Ensure prompt response, diagnosis, and resolution of IT-related issues; Oversee root cause analysis for critical issues and implement preventative measures; Maintain service level agreements (SLAs) and report on key performance indicators (KPIs). Analyse metrics and contribute to operational reporting; Ensure compliance with cybersecurity standards and IT policies; Support audits and risk assessments in line with Ocean Infinity’s Integrated Management System (IMS); Develop and maintain appropriate company policies and procedures; Facilitate training and competency development in line with company policies; Act as a primary point of contact between IT Operations and other business units; Liaise with Enterprise Architecture, Business Systems, Infrastructure, and Cyber Security teams; Maintain relationships with third-party service providers where necessary. Who you are: Proven Leadership and people management skills; Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities; Microsoft, Cisco, or equivalent certifications (e.g., MCSA, CCNA) are a plus; ITIL Foundation certification. Strong background in troubleshooting IT & network issues in a corporate environment; Familiarity with IT service management (ITSM) and ticketing systems; Ability to work in a geographically distributed and multicultural team; Strong communication and stakeholder management skills; Focus sed on providing excellent customer service; Thoughtful, thorough and conscientious; Ability to take ownership and engagement in the work; Integrity, credibility and maturity for confidential issues; Ability to work as a trusted advisor with senior stakeholders; Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize work in a fast-paced environment; Strong interpersonal and people management skills; Strong communication skills; Enthusiastic about protecting people and the planet. Desirable: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in IT, Computer Science, or related field ; Salary for this position: Up to £55,000 per annum Salary : The salary varies for this position as we are recruiting in multiple regional locations and job grades. The salary process is based on skills, abilities, and experience required.
