An exciting opportunity for a Senior Buyer to join a well-established organisation based in Worcester, offering a salary up to £40,000. This role is within the purchasing department with excellent progression opportunities.
Candidates with previous experience in purchasing or procurement, especially within a defence or aerospace environment, will be well suited for this position.
Role responsibilities of the Senior Buyer include:
* Developing and implementing purchasing strategies to achieve cost savings and improve supplier performance.
* Supporting bid submissions by collaborating with internal teams and ensuring all necessary purchasing information is accurate and timely.
* Monitoring and managing supplier performance, addressing issues to maintain strong partnerships.
* Leading and managing a small team of buyers, providing guidance and support to achieve OTIF targets.
* Conducting market and data analysis to identify trends, potential suppliers, and opportunities for improvement.
Person specification of the Senior Buyer includes:
* Proven experience as a Buyer, with a strong track record in purchasing and supply chain management.
* Leadership experience, with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
This role requires 100% onsite presence.
