Job Description
Due to internal promotion we are looking for a HR Advisor to join the team at Westbridge. As a key member of the department, you will be essential in demonstrating competence and confidence within a transformational HR team.
The main purpose of the role is to provide an efficient and effective HR support service to our sites across The Belfield Group. This role will be the first line contact on all people related issues, to advise and assist line managers and employees with accurate and consistent support ensuring that professional support is always given.

Responsibilities:
* Be the first point of contact for Manufacturing Team Leaders and line managers for general people queries and advice across the entire employee lifecycle.
* Build relationships with Manufacturing Team Leaders and line managers to develop a good understanding of the business to help identify issues and trends.
* Support with HR operations activities such as processing changes to employment contracts, flexible working requests, family-friendly leave, etc.
* Disciplinary and Grievance – case management of disciplinary and grievance matters (up to, and including, dismissals and appeals), including on-site support as required.
* Absence Management – support managers through the process, explain the process for calculating ‘trigger points’ and advising on what types of absence are included and what action is required.
* Be agile and prepared to handle unexpected challenges and resolve issues as they arise.
* Support with incoming and outgoing communications from HR Mailboxes.
* Collaborate with the HR team on various projects, such as employee engagement initiatives, benefits administration, and policy development.
* Liaise with HR Business Partner as required for complex cases, or where needed to support stage hearings.
* Work with the HR Business Partner to review and advise on recommended improvements to HR support, policies, system, and administration processes to ensure maximum efficiency.
* Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
* Data maintenance – ensure that all employee relations case files are up to date, documenting outcomes and actions taken where required.
* Statistics & Reports – use data to identify any key trends, discuss these with HR Business Partner to support in the development of business improvement/change programs.
* Continuous improvement – Work with the HR Business Partner to review and advise on recommended improvements to HR support, policies, system, and administration processes to ensure maximum efficiency.
Skills and Abilities:
* Proficiency in using MS Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook)
* Strong phone, email and in-person communication skills
* Strong attention to detail and a high level of confidentiality
* Adaptability and the capability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
* Problem solving skills
* Ability to build credible working relationships with key stakeholders
* Results focused and ability to translate these into actions
* A good understanding of employment legislation and how to apply this pragmatically.
Essential Experience or Qualifications required:
* Previous experience as a HR Advisor handling casework
* Knowledge of HR best practices and employment law
* Previous experience of using HRIS software
* CIPD Level 5
Desirable:
* Experience in a manufacturing environment
