Job summary An exciting permanent opportunity has arisen within the Medical Equipment Training and Equipment Library department at King's College Hospital. This would suit someone with a background in medical equipment training, in medical equipment library, and in medical equipment workshop service. There will be opportunities to supervise a team, provide training, provide training and library support and lead equipment deployment training delivery and projects related to medical equipment management. The post holder will work as part of a dedicated MEMS team to provide and develop services across the Princess Royal University Hospital (PRUH) and Orpington or Denmark Hill (DH) sites. The Medical Equipment Management Service (MEMS) of the department provides a range of services to the Trust. These services include the care of medical electronic and associated devices, training of staff (Medical Equipment Training) to use medical devices and a loan service for medical devices (Equipment Library). The Medical Equipment Trainer / MERC Supervisor will take responsibility for the management of the three functions located within the Centre; medical equipment training, equipment library and MEMS reception. Developing and leading the equipment library (MEL) service. Negotiating for resources to enhance and expand the equipment library (MEL).
