The global racing enterprise boasts over 250 race wins, four INDYCAR Series championships, five INDY NXT titles, one Indy Pro 2000 and one USF2000 championship, and has captured victory five times at the famed Indianapolis 500-Mile Race. The team is now looking to expand into the pinnacle of motorsport through our Andretti Cadillac Team. Job description: We have an opportunity for a Control Systems Engineer to join the Andretti Cadillac Team at the new Silverstone Facility. In this role you will work within the Control Systems group and be responsible for the car control systems and their supporting systems at trackside events. Principal Accountabilities: Preparation of the vehicle control system calibrations for trackside events. Monitoring the control systems at trackside events ensuring reliable operation. Working closely with Race and Performance Engineers to optimise control system performance. Ensuring that all control systems operations fully comply with the FIA technical regulations. Resolution of control system faults. Requirements Educated to degree level in an engineering subject. Experience with the management and calibration of vehicle control systems. Experience with model-based software design in a Matlab Simulink environment. Experience with motorsport data logging systems, preferably F1 SECU and associated tools. Experience with automotive electronic systems, CAN and sensing technologies. Ability to plan and manage own workloads. Clear and concise communication, verbally and with the use of email. Is self-motivated, innovative and capable of working generally unsupervised to challenging deadlines. Strong levels of IT skills including MS Office, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
