Role: Supply Chain Director Salary: £Competitive Location: LN5 7FD, Lincoln Contract Type: Permanent, Full-Time How will you make a difference? As Supply Chain Director at Napier you will oversees all supply chain operations, driving safety, quality, delivery, and continuous improvement across Purchasing, Supply Chain, and Logistics. With strong leadership and supply chain expertise, the role involves developing strategies to manage suppliers, inventory, scheduling, and on-time delivery, focusing on cost control and driving improvements to achieve impactful business results and customer excellence. What will your typical day look like? - Establish and monitor KPIs across the Supply Chain organisation. - Generate forecasting and manufacturing metrics reports for management. - Operate end-to-end process controls to achieve Quality, Cost, and Delivery objectives. - Collaborate across departments to optimise supply chain strategies. - Recommend supply chain policies and make/buy strategies to improve cost and delivery. - Develop a Vendor Management system for supplier selection and lifecycle control. - Address systemic supplier performance issues and manage high-risk supplier relationships. - Drive annual Supply Chain Improvement Plans (SCIP) to foster continuous improvement. - Govern MRP processes, ensuring compliance and consistency across functions. - Manage Working Capital, inventory processes, and project-related costs in collaboration with key stakeholders. - Build and develop a motivated, knowledgeable, and responsive Supply Chain team. What do we want to know about you? - Ideally a degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field; MBA/Master's is preferred. - Experience in manufacturing/production and supply chain management, within senior leadership roles, preferably in process-oriented and fast-paced environments. - Proven ability to lead change and improve systems using Lean Transformation principles. - Strong understanding of MRP processes, supplier selection, and warehouse management systems. - Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, mentoring, and coaching skills. - Experience working within large or international businesses. - Ability to deliver results autonomously and travel within the UK and overseas as needed.
