Job Purpose:
As an integral member of the Global Logistics team, you will be entrusted with facilitating the Global Logistics Operations from Contract Manufacturing Organizations (CMOs) to Customer. You will support the overall coordination of inbound freight and serve as the primary focal point for all logistics activities, encompassing global transportation and market distribution activities executed by third-party service providers.
Skills and Experience:
The ideal candidate will hold a degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or a related field, or have prior experience in logistics or a similar area. You should demonstrate the ability to handle multiple competing priorities and projects in a fast-paced and complex environment, exhibit problem-solving skills with excellent organizational capabilities and a right-first-time mindset, and possess exceptional analytical and numerical skills. Strong data analysis skills, with the ability to maintain, produce, interpret, and draw conclusions from data, are essential. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel is required, and knowledge of customs procedures and Incoterms is advantageous. Excellent written, verbal, listening, and communication skills are necessary, along with being organized, a self-starter, and a quick learner. A passion for logistics and continuous improvement is imperative.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Manage warehouse and transportation activities, maintaining daily contact with CMOs, market warehouses, and stakeholders regarding shipments and queries.
2. Oversee the inbound product flow from CMOs in collaboration with our nominated Logistics Service Provider (LSP), and monitor the logistics provider's delivery of service, reporting any deviations.
3. Develop GDP quality knowledge, ensure compliance in distribution activities, and support improvement projects with cross-functional teams.
4. Manage LSP inventory controls, track import permits, prepare destruction approval reports, ensure customs compliance, and control sample deliveries.
