Start : February 2025 or as soon as possible thereafter, Fixed term for 36 months Applications are sought for a committed Post-doctoral Research Fellow to work with Dr Blesson Varghese conducting research in machine learning systems for edge computing for the EPSRC funded National Edge AI Hub ( edgeaihub.co.uk ). The Hub is a £12M investment and comprises 12 UK universities and collaborates with over 55 industry partners. The primary duties of the Fellow will be to develop a personal research area in addressing systems-oriented challenges for building real-world machine learning systems for edge computing, plan and deliver research and accompanying software artefacts, collaborate with the universities and partners to meet the objectives of the Hub, supervise research students as appropriate, and assist in the development of research proposals. The successful applicant will have (or be near to completion of) a PhD in Computer Science or cognate discipline with experience in machine learning systems/algorithms suited for cloud-edge, mobile, or IoT environments. The post is available for 36 months starting from February 2025 or as soon as possible thereafter.
