Josh's Care Company is Hiring The Role: Complex Care Support Worker. Hourly Rate: £13.00 per hour. Location : Rotherham Rate of pay: Our hourly rate for this position is £13.00 per hour. Shift times: This position would include days, waking nights and alternate weekends. The day shift times are dependant on the package. Please note, we provide 24 hour around the clock care so your shifts will include days, waking nights and alternative weekends. Contract Type: Permanent with immediate start available. If you believe this position aligns with your skills and passion for care, we encourage you to APPLY TODAY We would love to hear from you About the role: In this position, your primary responsibility will involve providing support for a service user with a spinal injury, Brain injury or a neurological condition This could include supporting with none-verbal communication, moving and handling, medication administration Dependant on needs, this could include assistance with cough assist and bowel care, moving and ventilation. Key Responsibilities: Package 1: You will be supporting a gentleman with a spinal injury, he is currently in Hospital with the aim of bringing on a strong team of carers to help his make the transition to be back home full time. The hospital will be putting on training for the care team, to ensure the service user has full support. Provide tailored care to individuals with epilepsy, supporting seizure management, medication administration, and following care plans. Support individuals with challenging behaviours, using positive behaviour support (PBS) techniques and de-escalation strategies to ensure safety and wellbeing. Assist individuals with autism, ADHD, and sensory processing disorders, helping to create a calm, structured environment that caters to their specific needs. Collaborate with families, healthcare professionals, and colleagues to deliver person-centred care. Encourage and support engagement in social and daily activities, helping individuals increase their independence and quality of life. Maintain accurate care records, report on progress, and help adjust care plans as needed. Key Skills and Experience: Essential : Previous experience working with epilepsy and challenging behaviours. Desired : Experience or understanding of supporting individuals with autism, ADHD, and sensory processing disorders. Strong understanding of positive behaviour support and ability to manage challenging behaviours effectively. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to remain calm and compassionate in high-pressure situations. Flexibility and adaptability, willing to work a mix of days, nights, and alternate weekends. A positive, empathetic approach to working with vulnerable individuals.
