Job Description
The Trainee Analyst will work alongside the business in understanding, updating, supporting key processes and controls and how this can be improved to better support all interested stakeholders. This encompasses both the qualitative support (e.g., update of flow charts), but also the quantitative support (e.g., enhancement of existing control dashboards). They will ensure consistency and integrity of compliance across the SCOR reinsurance operations.
Responsibilities
1. Support the Head of RI Operations in analysing key risks and supporting processes to ensure effective control design (preventative and detective), efficiency of inputs and outputs used in the process and simplification of approval of key steps.
2. Support the implementation of key controls including documentation and development of a best practice guide.
3. Support in active and effective communication with all affected stakeholders by co-developing dedicated training materials, coordinating training sessions, etc.
4. Prepare and support quarterly control evaluation campaigns (i.e., prepare and distribute control reports, follow-ups, etc.)
5. Use data (structured and unstructured) to provide the basis of analysis alongside interview feedback and key group compliance requirements.
6. Work towards building a Business Model that integrates business processes.
Qualifications
Required experience & competencies
1. Statistical background including working knowledge of analysing and interpreting use of data.
2. Basic MS Office skills (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint).
Desired Skills
1. Process Engineering (using a notation language such as BPMN) and working with tools such as Lucid or Visio.
2. Proficient in creating and enhancing Tableau or Power BI dashboards.
3. Business Modelling.
4. Facilitating conversations and workshops.
Required Education
1. Business, Economics, Maths, Statistics degree, or equivalence.
