As a Data Governance Associate in the Data & Technologies Transformation Team, you will work with people across Network Management and its related areas with key stakeholders. You will ensure that our data is managed effectively and meets Firm and line of business wide data risk management policies and standards. Therefore, you will be enabling Network Management to deliver exemplary services with effective data management. Network Management is a Firmwide function within the CIB Digital & Platform Services organization responsible for managing the J.P. Morgan’s Lines of Business (“LOBs”) relationships with their network of local providers including payment systems, central counterparties (CCPs), and check clearing systems) and Agent Banks (sub custodians, cash correspondents, partners, and clearing banks). With around 200 employees, the Network Management team is located in London, Bournemouth, Brooklyn, Delaware, Tampa, Hong Kong, Singapore, Mumbai & Hyderabad to provide coverage of markets and selected clients. Job responsibilities Contributes to the delivery of Data Governance and Data Quality framework and process to deliver data standards to ensure that data is managed consistently Collaborates with the wider Network Management Organisation to promote data management best practice and data quality improvements Develops our data knowledge/ meta data management (data domains, business glossary and data dictionary) ensuring effective data management and appropriate data use Sets up and manages the data quality approach, analysis and reporting in line with data compliance policies. Monitoring data quality, working with others to fix issues, and implement data quality improvement plans Documents, maps, and understands the complete data lifecycle – from data creation and capture to data processing, storage, and usage Actively engages in identifying solutions to improve data Builds plans to identify and track end to end data lineage working with technology partners Supports work to ensure Network Management is compliant with the Firmwide policies and to deliver and promote Network Management Data Strategy activities Engages other users of data to ensure they understand and manage controls and support Data Strategy and Governance awareness, training, educational activities Contributes and adds to a culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills Experience of developing effective Data Governance and the practical application of data governance frameworks and controls, influencing both BAU and project functions Experience delivering data-driven problem solving or equivalent experience Proven ability to gather and analyse complex data and develop accurate conclusions with sufficient business comprehension to understand risk implications Effective project management skills to deliver and manage progress Good problem solving and creative thinking skills Strong communication and engagement skills. With the ability to interpret complex information to communicate and tell stories with data in a meaningful way suited to the audience Ability to develop strong working relationships with stakeholders with varied seniority Ability to self-manage including goal setting, planning, prioritizing, scheduling, and monitoring Experience of working with data management tools or similar to exploit the use of technology for data management activities Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills A working knowledge of the use of native SQL or similar Knowledge of data visualisation techniques An awareness/ understanding of Data Strategy implementation
