Randstad Education is partnering with a leading primary school in the Bognor Regis area to find a dedicated and exceptional SENCo/Teacher in Charge to lead their Special Support Centre.
About the Role:
* Part:time (0.6 position): Every afternoon plus a full day on Friday.
* Salary: Teacher Mainscale or UPS, depending on experience, plus a TLR2 allowance.
* Senior Leadership Team Position: Play a key role in shaping the schools approach to supporting students with special educational needs.
* Make a Difference: Lead a dedicated team and create a supportive and engaging environment for students with social communication and speech and language difficulties.
What Youll Do:
* Provide expert leadership and guidance for the Special Support Centre, ensuring a high quality of education and care.
* Develop and implement effective strategies and interventions to support students with social communication and speech and language needs.
* Collaborate with teachers and other staff to create an inclusive and supportive learning environment for all students.
* Monitor student progress and provide individualized support to ensure their success.
* Engage with parents and caregivers to provide information and support.
What Were Looking For:
* Strong SEN experience: Proven experience supporting students with social communication and speech and language difficulties.
* Leadership skills: Experience in leading and managing teams, and a strong commitment to developing others.
* Collaborative and adaptable: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders.
* Passionate advocate: A genuine commitment to supporting students with special educational needs and helping them achieve their full potential.
Qualifications:
* Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
* A relevant teaching qualification (PGCE, BEd, etc.).
* Experience working with a diverse range of learners.
* Experience leading or supporting an SEN provision is highly desirable.
