The Role
Are you an experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant looking for an exciting new opportunity in a vibrant school setting?
We need a skilled and enthusiastic HLTA to join a welcoming junior school in Barking and Dagenham.
In this role, you will work across multiple year groups, providing high-quality support and leading lessons as required, contributing to the success and development of the school community.
The Ideal Candidate:
- HLTA status or an equivalent qualification.
- Proven experience as a HLTA, ideally within primary or secondary education.
- A solid understanding of the curriculum and strategies to support effective learning.
- Confidence in leading whole-class teaching and small group interventions.
- Strong communication and organisational skills to collaborate effectively with staff and pupils.
- A proactive and adaptable approach to working in a dynamic school environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Delivering lessons across various year groups in the absence of the class teacher.
- Supporting the planning and delivery of engaging, inclusive lessons.
- Providing targeted support to small groups and individual pupils to enhance learning outcomes.
- Assisting with classroom management and fostering a positive learning environment.
- Monitoring pupil progress and providing feedback to teachers and senior staff.
- Contributing to the wider school community by supporting events, activities, and initiatives.
