An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Darlington Borough Councilandrsquo;s People Group as the Strategic Commissioning Manager andndash; Childrenandrsquo;s.andnbsp; andnbsp; Reporting to the Lead Commissioning and Contractsandnbsp; Managerandndash; Childrenandrsquo;s, you will lead the day to day Commissioning activity for children. You will drive quality assurance and contractual compliance in commissioned services to ensure positive outcomes for children are achieved. You will proactively monitor, trend analyse and support service remodelling to ensure commissioned services keep pace with changing local needs and legislative requirements. You will play a key role in progressing Darlingtonandrsquo;s Commissioning and Sufficiency Strategy for Children.
This will be a challenging but extremely rewarding role for an individual with a drive for positive impact and a genuine commitment to improve outcomes for children in Darlington.

About you:andnbsp; You will be passionate, with a can do solution focused approach and an ability to work at pace rapidly reprioritising in response to changing requirements. You will have an inherent ability to develop and maintain strong and effective stakeholder relations with internal departments, a diverse range of service providers, the local voluntary and community sector, regional Councils and strategic health commissioners.
You will be educated to degree level or equivalent experience, with 5 yearsandrsquo; (approx.) experience of managing Commissioning functions. With demonstrable experience of staff management, project management and safeguarding systems and processes management.
