About The Role
We are seeking a highly motivated Commercial Contracts Assistant to join our team. This role plays a crucial part in ensuring that all commercial risks are assessed, managed, and mitigated while providing expert support on contractual matters. The post holder will work closely with key stakeholders, including Project Managers and Sales Management, to develop and maintain efficient contract processes, ensuring compliance with company procedures. Additionally, you will offer guidance and supervision to the Commercial Contracts Administrator when required.
Key Responsibilities:
* Reviewing and negotiating client contracts.
* Assessing risks and ensuring agreements align with company policies.
* Maintaining accurate contract records.
* Supporting the continuous improvement of commercial procedures.
* Deputising for the Commercial Contracts Manager when necessary.
The successful candidate will be required to undertake continuous professional development to ensure skills and knowledge remain up to date, so that our contracts remain fully compliant.
What skills and experience are required to perform this role?
* Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
* Evidence of contractual skills and awareness.
* Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
* Experience with SAP is beneficial; however, training will be provided.
* Excellent planning and organisation skills.
* Strong and reliable administrative skills.
* A willingness to undertake training courses, such as Foundation in Quantity Surveying and Construction Contract and Law courses.
