Master Production Scheduler

We are seeking an experienced Master Production Scheduler to join a well-established manufacturing company in Redditch. This is a key role responsible for mid-to-long-term operational capacity planning and demand forecasting, ensuring seamless alignment between sales, supply chain, and production teams.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Sales, Inventory & Operations Planning (SIOP):
Lead the SIOP process, engaging with stakeholders to develop a realistic and achievable plan.
Maintain detailed load and capacity plans, ensuring optimal resource utilisation to meet customer demands and financial targets.
Recommend strategic actions (manpower, machines, materials, methods) to balance load and capacity for long-term business objectives.
Ensure the Master Production Schedule aligns with SIOP, effectively managing stakeholder expectations.
Maintain accurate capacity planning data within EFACS, including work centres, shifts, and performance factors.
2. Demand Planning & Production Scheduling:
Ensure the Master Production Plan accurately reflects operational capabilities, working closely with production teams.
Monitor plan adherence KPIs, implementing corrective actions where necessary.
Support new product introductions, rate readiness, and customer capacity reviews.
Maintain accurate supplier replenishment signals using MRP or Kanban triggers.
Lead re-planning efforts to recover from schedule arrears, ensuring clear communication across teams.
Provide detailed workload forecasts to support resource and recruitment planning.
Maintain accurate system lead times and proactively work on reductions.
Contribute to site CAPEX planning by identifying critical equipment and recommending solutions for capacity challenges.
About You:
5+ years' experience in a senior planning role within a heavy manufacturing environment.
Strong background in supply chain management, covering material availability and subcontract processes.
Proven ability to track and improve key performance metrics (OTIF, OPE, Plan Adherence, WIP management).
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, with experience creating planning tools.
Familiarity with aerospace accreditations and customer gateway processes is beneficial.
A collaborative and analytical mindset, with the ability to challenge the status quo and drive process improvements.
