Our client is a well-established and reputable main contractor proven at delivering high-quality, sustainable homes within West London and the neighbouring counties. They are seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Site Manager to lead a new 45-unit traditionally built affordable housing development, spread across two blocks of apartments in Rickmansworth which is due to commence later in the year.
Responsibilities:
1. Oversee all aspects of the site construction and manage the team of site operatives.
2. Implement and monitor health and safety procedures, ensuring a safe and secure working environment.
3. Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring quality and timely delivery.
4. Monitor budgets and progress against project deadlines, reporting to the Construction Director.
5. Maintain clear communication with all stakeholders, including residents, the local authority, and other contractors.
6. Ensure compliance with building regulations and all relevant standards.
7. Implement and maintain quality control procedures.
8. Motivate and lead the site team to deliver outstanding results.
Requirements:
1. Proven experience as a Senior Site Manager on similar traditional build projects, ideally in the affordable housing sector.
2. Strong technical understanding of building regulations and construction best practices.
3. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
4. Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
5. A commitment to delivering high-quality work within budget and timeframes.
6. SMSTS, CSCS, and First Aid qualifications.
