2 weeks ago Be among the first 25 applicants
We especially welcome applicants from Glasgow and Cardiff.
Job Summary
Ofgem is Great Britain’s independent energy regulator. Our primary responsibility is to protect energy consumers, especially the most vulnerable, while at the same time working with government, industry and consumer groups to deliver a clean, more affordable and secure net-zero energy system at the lowest cost to consumers, and drive economic growth.
Now more than ever we need to go further and faster in pursuing the country’s climate goals and reduce our reliance on fossil fuels to protect ourselves from similar future price shocks. The role of offshore wind is critical to meeting the UK’s net zero commitments. Such challenging times require bold action and new regulatory approaches. We are looking for people to meet the challenges we face head-on, and help us deliver a greener, fairer energy system.
We are looking for a Senior Policy Lead to join the OFTO Build team in the Major Projects Directorate. The OFTO Build team aims to help deliver Ofgem’s work in coordinating network development for offshore wind. It focuses on the development of a competitive model whereby a competitively appointed offshore transmission owner is responsible for the delivery of co-ordinated offshore assets.
