About the role: We are looking for a compassionate and dedicated Key Stage 2 Teaching Assistant to join our team and support our students in boosting their learning and development. You will be working closely with the teaching staff to provide targeted interventions, primarily focusing on booster groups and special educational needs. Your role will involve supporting children who may need that extra bit of attention in key subjects, helping them reach their potential both academically and socially. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in small groups or on a one-to-one basis with students, helping to tailor learning experiences to their needs and ensuring they feel supported, valued, and confident. You’ll play a pivotal part in helping these children thrive by nurturing their confidence, encouraging their creativity, and guiding them through their educational journey. Application Requirements: • Previous experience working in a school or with children (ideally within Key Stage 2). • Strong communication and interpersonal skills. • Passion for working with children, particularly those with special educational needs (SEN). • A proactive, patient, and positive attitude. • The ability to work collaboratively with teachers and other staff. Key Responsibilities: • Support booster and intervention sessions for children in Key Stage 2, particularly those needing extra help in key subjects. • Assist the class teacher in preparing resources and managing the classroom environment. • Work with students on a one-to-one basis or in small groups, providing tailored support. • Support children with SEN, helping them engage fully in their learning and classroom activities. • Encourage and guide children to build their confidence, independence, and social skills.
