The Role:
Join us as a Lead Forecasting Analyst, where you'll take charge of delivering comprehensive portfolio forecasting, providing key insights that guide business strategy and improve decision-making. You will be responsible for developing, implementing, and optimizing advanced forecasting models, ensuring the accuracy of predictions, and driving improvements in portfolio performance. Your analysis will support key business functions in identifying trends, managing risk, and capitalizing on opportunities.
As a Lead Forecasting Analyst, you will:
* Forecasting Models: Design and implement advanced forecasting models for key portfolios (e.g., credit cards, loans, vehicle finance) to predict trends, risks, and opportunities. Ensure the models are accurate, up-to-date, and tailored to evolving business needs.
* Data Analysis & Insights: Use statistical models and advanced data analytics techniques to provide actionable insights into portfolio performance, risk exposure, and credit quality.
* Performance Monitoring: Regularly track and assess portfolio performance, using forecasting data to inform operational strategies and adjust forecasts where necessary.
* Stakeholder Communication: Present your findings and actionable recommendations to senior management and other key stakeholders to influence strategic decisions and drive performance improvements.
* Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and support a team of analysts focused on forecasting and portfolio analysis. Provide guidance on best practices, share knowledge, and help develop the team’s skills.
* Collaboration: Work cross-functionally with teams in risk management, finance, product development, and operations to align forecasting efforts with business goals.
* Continuous Improvement: Continuously improve forecasting models and methodologies to enhance accuracy, reduce forecasting errors, and ensure the effectiveness of decision-making processes.
What We’re Looking For:
* 3+ years’ experience in forecasting, portfolio analysis, or a related field within the consumer credit industry.
* Strong background in developing forecasting models and using advanced analytics tools (e.g., SAS, R, Python).
* Proven ability to manage and develop an analytical team, prioritizing tasks and delivering strategic guidance.
* Expertise in converting complex data into business insights, and the ability to communicate findings effectively to non-technical stakeholders.
* Ability to anticipate trends and adjust forecasting strategies based on emerging data and market conditions.
* Strong attention to detail and a passion for accuracy in forecasting and performance monitoring.
